Spell your name workout fitness activity printable for kids. Your kids will get a workout without realizing it when you make fitness into a fun game.

EDUCATIONAL TIP: Use this activity as a way to get kids moving but it’s also a great way to incorporate a learning activity as well. This can be done in a classroom, homeschool environment, or just with one child at a time. It’s a great example of guided play (as opposed to creative play where kids take the lead on their playtime).

Use a dry erase board and have them write out their full name before doing the activity.

You can use a single large dry erase board or buy these small ones only $6 each. And the best thing is that the kids will think it’s just fun, so you probably won’t get a single argument from them.
You can use this with individual kids or even at parties or in a classroom environment. A school district is even using this printable in their physical education program! I’d love to hear how you use it.

Thanks! I am always looking for fun ways to incorporate physical activity in our after school program. I’m going to give this a shot tomorrow. I created a little template for students to plan out their workout first. They write their name in a serious of boxes, then below that write the moves for that letter, and the number of repeats right below that. Then, in a landscape oriented sheet I had some extra room so I added three rows for the student or adult observer to give feedback – same number of boxes as the letters of name/activities, with a key that says put a star for 100% achievement, smiley face for solid effort, checkmark for minimal effort and x for skipping it. I don’t know if it will work or not (I’m pretty new to ages k-5) but I will give it my best shot. I love the idea. As usual, only wish the sign were editable. I’d probably skip things like 3 summersaults in favor or cartwheels in favor of some jumping and spinning or toe touching – something I knew everyone could do. It would also be great to do one of these charts where all the activities were more stationary to avoid running but still get the exercise done. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THE GREAT THINKING AND WORK THAT WENT INTO THIS AWESOME PRODUCT!
Oh I love the idea of a worksheet for them to plan it out ahead of time! Maybe I’ll create one to add to this to make it easier for planning.
I love this, thanks for sharing. Gonna send it to my sis who has kids X
cute but I work with children that can’t do cartwheels or somersaults 🙁 need some easier activities for some.
I LOVE this! It will help with giving variety for the kids during the summer! Thank you so much for sharing!
COOL! I love this, thanks for sharing! 🙂
I love this idea, but can’t figure out how to print it. Could you share a link?
Ack the link disappeared. Scroll up you should be able to get it now by clicking the link.
I’d love to print this, but it asks for a password when I click the link.
I figured it out!
Oh good!
still asks for password
The password is in the post above the graphic.
Love the idea I use movement a lot but look forward to the structured type of spelling activity to go along with it. Will also use this with weekly spelling words, make sight word learning less “drill and kill memorizing.
That’s a great idea!
