These low carb Italian cheese crisps are so tasty!
Low carb dieting pretty much takes chips and pretzels and all of the yummy crunchy, salty snacks we love off the table. They are high in carbs and therefore a big low carb no-no. But oh that salty crunch!
Thankfully you don’t have to live without that delicious, satisfying savory crunch.
Nope.
Because you can make these low carb Italian cheese crisps and you won’t even miss your chips or pretzels.
Low Carb Italian Cheese Crisps
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Kitchen & Beyond Natural Parchment Paper Pan Liner, 12-inch By 16-inch, Unbleached, 50-pack
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Line a baking sheet (or two) with parchment paper sheets.
- Using a measuring spoon, drop 1 tbsp piles of Italian blend cheese about 2 inches apart (the cheese will spread so don’t put them too close) on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning on each, just a pinch.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes (may vary, keep a close eye on them).
- Remove from oven and lift parchment paper and place on cooling racks.
- Dab tops of crisps with a paper towel to remove some of the excess grease (this is optional but if you don’t do it, your crisps may be soggy – still yummy, but soggy – if you didn’t cook them long enough).
- Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
The more grease you can get off the crisps, the crispier they will be when they cool.
I enjoy the low carb Italian cheese crisps crispy because then you can dip them in marinara sauce and they will taste like mozzarella sticks! Just remember that some sauces contain added sugar so watch out for that.
Did you know that you can buy a bunch of pantry staples at Amazon.com? This helps make my shopping trips so much easier because I only need to shop for my produce, refrigerated and frozen foods. No need to go into the middle aisles of the grocery store at all! Some of their items have free Prime shipping, some you can get a flat rate if you use Prime Pantry. This saves me so much time!
Although you could use Peapod, and then you won’t ever have to leave your house because they deliver your groceries right to your door. Even frozen foods!
