Ingredients

ground mild Italian sausage

cloves
of garlic
minced

teaspoon
minced dried onion

olive oil

15 oz can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

15 oz can tomato sauce
1
15 oz can kidney beans
½
teaspoon
cumin
½
teaspoon
dried parsley

teaspoon
Kosher salt

teaspoon
black pepper
¼
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
½
teaspoon
chili powder

tablespoon
honey
¼
cup
pine nuts
optional
Instructions
Saute minced onions and garlic in olive oil over medium-low heat about 30-60 seconds in a deep skillet or dutch oven.
Add ground sausage, turn heat up to medium-high and cook until browned.
Drain sausage.
Add remaining ingredients, stir and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
Serve sprinkled with pine nuts (optional).
