As a parent, I want nothing more than I want children who have good hearts for other people.
Children who are compassionate.
Children who think of others before themselves.
Children who understand the true meaning of Christmas and cherish the little things.
It’s not always easy to know if I am achieving this goal. I lead by example as much as possible, and hope for the best.
This time of year is the perfect time to try and instill a heart for giving in kids, which is why I was so excited to hear about Capital One’s new campaign called Wish For Others.
Everyone is always asking my kids “what do you want for Christmas?” and while I think that’s fine because gift giving and receiving is a part of the magic of Christmas, I loved the idea of asking them what they would wish for for someone else.
So I did.
Do you have a #WishForOthers? If you do, Capital One is making wishes come true this holiday season.
Here is how to enter:
Share your wish for someone else – a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a community — with #WishForOthers on Twitter, Instagram, or the Capital One Facebook page from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 for a chance to make it come true.
How to wish in person:
In select locations you can stop by a Capital One 360® Café to warm up with a delicious Peet’s Coffee® and make your#WishForOthers in a real life wishing booth!
