I use Splenda as my sweetener of choice.
In my coffee.
On my cereal.
Even to bake with.
It’s interesting, though, how I will use it but not allow my kids to have anything made with it.
When I stop to think about the things I’ve read on the internet and heard from other people about the potential negative effects on my body because of Splenda use, I wonder why I still use it. Oh wait. I know. I have a sweet tooth and and don’t want the extra calories from regular sugar.
I’ve been using Splenda for years. It’s readily available and I would usually buy the jumbo box from Sam’s Club.
But yet although I continued to use it, my concerns still nagged at me.
I used the Truvia for the first time today. I love the spoonable container, it’s perfect for my morning coffee and my cereal and both my husband and I noticed something interesting…it smells like sugar. Like….we couldn’t tell the difference. It does taste different than Splenda but does not seem to taste like regular sugar either. I definitely notice a difference but I don’t think it is a bad difference. Only time will tell.
