Years ago, I can’t even remember how many, my Mom adopted a former racing greyhound. His name was Tony Spumoni and that dog was nothing but sweet. Leaning against your legs and being petted was his main goal in life and he really was a good dog. The worst thing I can say about Tony was that he bad breath. Really bad, but I never held it against him.
2 days ago my Mom emailed me that she had to rush Tony to the vet because he couldn’t stand up and his eyes and face seemed funny. It turns out that he was having seizures of some sorts and had lesions on his brain.
There wasn’t much they could do for him at that point so they let him go….
Goodbye Big Toe! I’ll miss you! You have endeared me to greyhounds FOREVER!
