When it comes to my dogs, I can’t always tell when they aren’t feeling better or when something is bothering them. The only thing I can do is to rely on my instincts and pay attention to if their behavior has changed. But sometimes I have to be sensitive to minute changes to tell that they aren’t operating at 100%.
In the past, when my dog Toby hasn’t felt quite 100%, I noticed that he would hide more, not be as active during the day and not seek out attention from his people. Most of the time I could never really pinpoint what was causing him not to feel good, but it was never serious, and he always seems to recover quickly.
While I don’t have control over many of the things that can affect my dogs’ health, the one thing I can control is the quality of the food they eat.
Wellness® Complete Health™ Dog Food
We have been transitioning Toby over to a brand new food the last month – Wellness® Complete Health™ Grain Free Dog Food. Wellness® believes in using only quality, simple and pure, natural ingredients in their products. They understand the power that natural nutrition has over the health of our canine friends. They include high-quality protein from the most trustworthy sources as the first ingredient in their foods. Their foods also contain healthy fats for healthy skin and coat, wholesome grains and grain-free carbs, natural fiber, and prebiotics and probiotics for healthy digestion.

It’s been about a month since we started transitioning Toby to Wellness® Complete Health™ Grain Free Dog Food. It’s been a slow transition because I had just purchased a big bag of his old dog food, but that’s ok because it means less of a chance the transition will bother his little tummy. In this short amount of time, I have noticed some subtle differences already. He seems to have more energy (to harass the neighbor’s dog through the fence), his fur is so soft, and his breath isn’t as stinky as it was before. I look forward to him being fully transitioned so I can see these differences come full circle.
