It sounded unique but really didn’t seem like anything that special to me. I imagined it would taste like, well…salad. Your normal, everyday, average, common salad.
I liked that it contained the dressing and the extras like the quinoa, cheese and almonds, each one in a separate pouch.
The bag contained 3 generous sized servings. It was colorful and fresh.
I mixed everything together and added some of the salad to my bowl. It smelled really good, the dressing had a fresh delicious smell, I couldn’t wait to try it.
I’d like to let you in on a little secret. I don’t like kale. It’s thick and rough and just not something I prefer to eat raw, so I was definitely hesitant about trying this salad.
But the kale in this quinoa salad was anything but. It was tender and dare I say, delicious! I couldn’t get enough of this salad, in fact, I had two servings. The only reason I didn’t have 3 was because I shared it with my sister. It was so good I would have eaten the whole bag! Not better than steak, but really darn close. The only real change I would like to see would be a bit more dressing. Even tossed really well it was about a teaspoon or two short of being just enough.
