I am always on the lookout for non-electronic games that my kids can play together with each other and with my niece who spends a lot of time at our house (and happens to live next door). It’s important to me that they learn to play nicely together, learn good sportsmanship and learn that it’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. Which is why I was so excited to have them play a brand new game from Hasbro!
Following on the huge success of the original Pie Face Game, Pie Face Showdown will be available starting October 1st in stores and online at HasbroToyShop.com. It’s perfect for family game night and would make a great holiday gift for friends or family members with kids. Plus the under $25 price point makes it affordable!
My kids were super excited to play together and with their cousin. Assembly was quick and easy, so I didn’t have to listen to them whine for very long about wanting to play.
Pie Face Showdown is like a game of tug-o-war between 2 players. Each player places their face in one of the cutouts and rests their chin on the chin rest. You then place whipped cream (not included with game) on the hand and then they each continue to press the button on their side of the game continuously as the hand moves back and forth. Eventually the hand will go too far to one side or the other and the person on that side then gets “pie-faced”.
Ready, set, go!

They seriously must have played this game 40 times before I ran out of whipped cream! And then they brought their friends in and they all took turns playing.
This is one game, though, where I think they enjoy “losing” more than winning.
The giggling just never stopped!
