I admit that we tend to rush around in the morning getting ready for our day and don’t actually spend a lot of quality time together. In fact, many mornings we don’t eat breakfast together. My kids eat in front of the TV, my husband rarely eats at all, and I eat once I can relax a little bit after my son has gotten on the school bus.
Mornings here are a FLASH of panic and activity and half the time I don’t know if I am coming or going.
But Florida Orange Juice believes that a better day begins with a “meaningful morning” and that drinking Florida OJ can help us jump start our day by interacting with each other and starting off the day happy and healthy. In order to help families like mine develop habits that can lead to meaningful morning moments, the Florida Department of Citrus has teamed up with parenting expert and author, Dr. Michele Borba and nutritionist and author, Elizabeth Ward to provide some simple solutions to help us start the day on the right foot. Together they have developed a checklist that is quick and easy to follow:
When I read through that checklist, it really will be so easy to incorporate these tips into our lives. They are easy to follow and seriously much better for our physical and emotional health. Even if we just spend 5 minutes around the table drinking a glass of 100% Florida OJ while we share about our upcoming day, I think that will go a long way to bringing us closer together. Of course, I first have to wake my son up and I usually do that by going into his room and pretending to sit on him until he is awake. It doesn’t take long.

I am heading out to buy another carton of OJ, we’re all out!
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the Florida Department of Citrus and received an OJ Gift Pack and a promotional item as a thank you for my participation.”
