- Those who must start their day with a coffee but nothing fancy. Just regular old ‘joe with some cream and sugar.
- Those who take coffee drinking to the level of art enjoying the most delicious coffee flavors and creations.
- Those who don’t drink coffee – aka weirdos.

I am a type 2 coffee drinker. While I do get into my rut sometimes of enjoying the same thing day in and day out (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it) I also love trying new flavors and new ways of enjoying my beloved coffee. My current favorite way to enjoy my morning coffee is with Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer. It makes my coffee taste fantastic and I love how creamy it is. But my afternoon coffee is different. In the afternoon is when I like to have some fun with my coffee!
Doesn’t that look refreshing? If you are a type 2 coffee drinker like me, you probably don’t even care what’s in it, you know it’s coffee and you want to try it.
The good news is that it’s super easy to make, you just need some cold coffee, maple syrup and some Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer.
Silk Creamers some in both soy and almond (plant based) options and in plain, vanilla, hazelnut or caramel flavors. Silk Creamers are dairy-free, gluten-free and free of lactose, casein, MSG, egg, peanut, saturated fat and cholesterol. They are subtly sweet, available in pint or quart sizes and are verified by the Non-GMO Project’s product verification project. They also don’t have any artificial anything in them and are carageenan-free.
Did I mention that they taste great? I think I did, but it warrants saying it again. They taste GREAT! I was afraid they wouldn’t be creamy enough but it is perfectly creamy and delicious.
It really is delicious enough on its own with coffee, but if you are in the mood to take it up a notch, the recipe below takes the Silk Creamer to the next level of yum!Print
- 4-6 tbsp Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer
- 3/4 cup cold coffee
- 1/2 tsp maple syrup
- ice cubes
- In a tall glass, slowly drip the maple syrup along the inside of the glass and turn it so you get some syrup all the way around.
- Pour creamer into glass and add ice cubes.
- Pour coffee over cubes.
- Stir & serve!
Tip: Instead of ice cubes, freeze coffee cubes so your iced coffee doesn’t get diluted by ice cubes made with water.
So rich and delicious!
This would work great with the Silk Caramel Creamer and some chocolate syrup as well. The syrup makes its way to the bottom of the glass which looks really cool but it stirs up quickly and easily with a straw.
