My boys attended day camp this week for Cub Scouts and while there they made their own play goo (aka Gak). My daughter wanted to make some of her own since she wasn’t at camp with them. It’s really easy to do!
First you take a whole bottle of white glue and pour it into a glass bowl. Once your glue bottle is empty, fill it up with water, give it a shake and pour the water into the bowl with the glue. Drop 1-2 drops of food coloring into the glue and water mixture and start to stir.
Measure 1/2 a cup of water into a separate bowl and add in 1 teaspoon of Borax. Stir the water and Borax together but don’t worry if the powder doesn’t mix in all the way. Slowly add the Borax mixture into the glue mixture. When you feel it start to become stringy you can start mixing it with your hands.
You don’t have to add in all the Borax mixture. The more Borax mixture you add, the harder and less stringy your goo will be. When you’re done playing with your goo you can store it in a plastic ziplock baggy.
For easy cleanup you can use Huggies Wipes! Huggies aren’t just for diapers! There are 101 different ways you can use Huggies Simply Clean Wipes.
I love the simple clean of Huggies wipes. They are great to keep in your backpack or purse for on the go, even if you don’t have a baby in diapers anymore. Is your child heading off to camp? Throw a pack of Huggies Clutch ‘n’ Clean in their backpack so they can clean up after making a mess. They were definitely handy after all the messes the boys made at camp this week!
