Lands’ End is my go-to place for swimsuits for myself. They have the best styles and fit to accommodate ANY body shape and size. I never bother to look anywhere else when I need a swimsuit because I know Lands’ End will have the fit and look I want.
When it comes to my kids, Lands’ End offers the same great features with the added bonus of UPF 50 sun protection.
My daughter is only 4 but I have seen too many swimsuits out there that are made to fit a 4 year old but look like they belong on an adult. They are just not appropriate for a child. Lands’ End has a great selection of adorable suits in numerous colors and styles designed to be stylish but still age appropriate.
I also have some challenges with Abby because she is fairly slim. She absolutely needs a one-piece but one that doesn’t droop or gap and ride up at the top and around her legs.
Abby selected her own suit (and a rash guard).
The suit she is wearing is the Girls’ Shirred Ruffle Bodice One Piece Swimsuit in Clear Pink Strawberries and the rash guard is the Girls’ Long Sleeve Solid Flower Mockneck Rash Guard in Blossom Pink.
The suit is a size 4, and fit pretty much perfectly. I love the adjustable straps and the fact that they make an ‘X’ on her back to make sure they stay up. It has a liner for modesty and is super adorable. We both love the shirring and the ruffles. In hindsight, this suit comes in a slim version. If I had paid attention I may have ordered the size 5 in a slim because of the adjustable straps. She might have gotten 2 years out of it that way.
The rash guard is a size 5. She is very particular about things going over her head too tightly so I went with a size up. It is true to size, the sleeves and body are slightly long on her, but she does love it. It protects her from the sun and keeps her from shivering after playing in the pool or sprinkler. She adores the rose on the collar too.Note: we received the products shown to facilitate this post.
