⭐One Bowl Brownie Recipe
What is not to love about brownies? I have been making brownies for years now, and all different types like salted caramel, Oreo bake, cheesecake, triple chocolate, and peanut butter. The choices are endless with what you can add to fudgy brownies!
These keto avocado brownies, however, are a different ball game altogether. With no egg, sugar, or flour included in this recipe, they still taste good or even better than the traditional sugary brownie recipe!
The avocado and sugar-free chocolate chips give this keto recipe a delicately moist fudgy texture that oozes with chocolate flavor and finishes with a nutty topping.
The reason I love this sugar-free brownie recipe is not that it is easy and only takes a food processor to prepare the brownie batter, but because it is sugar-free and delicious. The feeling of knowing that eating 2 or 3 sugar-free brownies is more acceptable than eating one traditional brownie full of sugar is a game-changer.
The urge not to eat more than one is hard to resist when they taste as good as this, and after you try this great recipe, you too will be wishing you made more once the family gets hold of them!
🍽 What you need
Keto brownies do not use a lot of ingredients and equipment. The process is simple, you just need a blender or food processor to combine the brownie ingredients and a baking pan to bake them.
Try to buy the ripest avocados you can find, as it will be easier to mash.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Avocado mashed
- ½ cup Almond butter
- 3 tablespoon Erythritol
- 2 tablespoon Cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ cup Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking chips
- ¼ cup Chopped pecans optional
Equipment
- Baking dish
- Food processor or hand blender
🔪 How to make
For this recipe, we are using no added sugar chocolate chips. If you cannot find them in your local store, you can use 80% dark chocolate and add a bit more sweetener to the mixture.
The avocado in this recipe helps keep the brownies nice and fudgy after 25 minutes of cooking, and you will not even taste the avocado! Only smooth, silky chocolate.

Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees while making the brownie batter.
- Mash the avocados in the food processor until well mashed, and then add the almond butter to the mashed avocado until the mixture becomes soft and creamy.
- Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and erythritol to the mixture, and then add the olive oil and vanilla for a further 1 minute until ingredients are combined well.
- Once the mixture is combined, gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if using).
- Transfer the mixture to a greased prepared baking pan or use parchment paper, and then gently tap the pan on the table, so the mixture flattens out and fills out any holes.

6. Bake the sugar-free brownies for around 20-25. To test when the brownies are cooked perfectly, insert a toothpick into the middle of the brownies, and if it comes out with a little bit of batter on the stick, it means they are ready.
7. Let them rest for 10-15 minutes before serving and eating them.
📋 Variations
- If you cannot get some erythritol to substitute the sugar for this recipe, you can also use monk fruit or other sugar supplements like allulose.
- For people with a nut allergy, you can substitute almond-flavored butter for coconut oil. You need some form of butter to make ultimate fudgy brownies.
- You can also add a small number of flour variants like coconut flour, almond flour, sunflower seed flour to the mixture. For this recipe, ½ cup of flour would be enough.
🧂 Toppings
Toppings are an extra addition to chocolate avocado brownies. Although adding some of your favorite toppings or mixed through the brownies takes them to the next level:
- Dried fruit - I have baked my keto chocolate brownies with dried cranberries and dates before, and It works rather well with fudgy brownies.
- Coconut flakes - If you're a fan of all things coconutty, try adding 50g coconut flakes, 3 teaspoon refined coconut oil, and 50g coconut sugar to the mixture for a delicious coconut brownie.
- Cheesecake - Like nearly all desserts, it is possible to make them cheesecake style. For brownie recipes, adding cheesecake is simple. Just mix 2 cups of Philadelphia cheese with 2 tablespoon of monk fruit or erythritol and spread it in the center of the brownie mixture before baking it.
- Nuts - Cashew nuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, whichever nut you fancy will go nicely with brownie keto recipes.
- Caramel - You can use traditional caramel on top made with brown sugar, water, and butter. If you want to keep it completely no sugar as part of a keto diet, feel free to use zero sugar simple caramel syrup.
