With all my progress photos and discussions about INSANITY, I have been promising you a video showing you one of the workouts. It’s one thing to see an infomercial with all these gorgeous hard bodies making something look so easy, and quite another to see a not-so-hard-body doing these extreme workouts.
And they are extreme.
INSANITY is not for wimps.
But really being a wimp, to me, is simply a state of mind. While I don’t think INSANITY is for everyone, I think with a little determination and heart anyone can do it. You just might have to modify the workouts to suit your level or physical limitations. For example, I still have to resort to girl pushups about halfway through a circuit. My arms just aren’t strong enough yet. I don’t let it get me down, it just shows me there is room for improvement and gives me something to strive for.
I am in the second month of the INSANITY program, in fact I have just over a week and a half left. While I have seen amazing changes, I am not 100% strong and confident in every move in the workout which means I will be repeating it soon.
This morning the workout was Max Interval Plyo and was about 55 minutes long. I recorded the session but then pared it down showing some of the highlights to just over a minute and a half long. I tried to get a good variety of exercises in there so you can get a feel for them. One great thing about INSANITY is that you don’t need any other equipment besides your DVD player and an area of floor.
Take a look:
Note: I was sent the INSANITY workout program to try and share my feedback on my blog. The sweat, and opinions produced during my use of the program are my own.
