It all started with an itch on her leg.
She scratched it.
And scratched it.
And made it bleed.
A week later she had another patch on her leg and bumps on her arms.
As of yesterday she had bumps on her back, face, neck and ears as well.
The doctor at first diagnosed scabies and treated her for that. It didn’t do anything and the rash increased. On Saturday over the phone he suggested impetigo and ordered a topical antibiotic and antiseptic bath. Today was her first full day of treatment with those.
I wake up each morning hoping and praying for improvement.
The good news is that she is almost unaffected by it, at least in her behavior and attitude. She’s still as silly as ever.
We will be pushing our way into a dermatologists office on Tuesday if this doesn’t show any improvement tomorrow.
