This post was inspired by Musselman’s as part of a sponsored campaign. Opinions are my own.
When I was a kid apple sauce only came in a jar, but I remember it being a family staple. We enjoyed it with dinner sometimes but also as “dessert” after dinner. It was delicious and sweet and something we always enjoyed for a snack or even for breakfast. I always (and still do) liked mine loaded with cinnamon. My favorite apple sauce was the stuff my mom made at home one time. It had actual chunks of apple in it and was so yummy. But she only did it that one time, which I suppose makes it an extra special memory.
As an adult, I still enjoy apple sauce every once in awhile, and it’s a favorite snack for my kids. It’s rare for their lunch not to include applesauce. It’s a wholesome snack, and I like to do everything I can to give them the healthiest meal possible while still ensuring that they eat it and it doesn’t end up tossed in the trash.
Musselman’s is a brand that I remember from when I was a kid. They’ve been around and making apple sauce for over 100 years. So, according to my children, just a few years less than I have been alive. Hey, I can still run faster than they can, although I’ll be limping for a week afterward. Musselman’s has a full line of apple sauce products including unsweetened, cinnamon and chunky (yum) and they come in a variety of sizes.
Recently, Musselman’s helped take me back to my childhood when they sent me a big box filled with a bunch of their applesauce products.
I was pretty excited to try all of the products and introduce my kids to them, especially the chunky and cinnamon apple sauce.

It really is delicious! My son is a huge fan of the Musselman’s Big Cups. He’s 13 and wearing a size 12 men’s shoe. Apparently, he has to eat three times his body weight daily to support those huge feet.
Personally, I love the unsweetened Musselman’s. I top it with cinnamon, mix it up and enjoy.
My daughter likes to dip graham crackers in her apple sauce, so she gets both in her lunch. She doesn’t always finish her lunch, but she has never returned home without having eaten her apple sauce.
Musselman’s gives her a full serving of fruit in a delicious, easy to enjoy way. Makes my job a little bit easy!
Do you and your family enjoy apple sauce?
*While Musselman’s uses GMO-free cane sugar in all of their apple sauce, the Honey-Cinnamon flavor contains honey, which cannot be verified GMO-free.
