I think most people can connect with Guy Fieri’s recipes. Many of them are sort of modern twists on American favorites though he does venture into some Spanish and Asian style dishes as well. His recipes aren’t weird nor do they require wacky ingredients most people can’t easily obtain.
He and his recipes are relatable and real with a unique flair that make them one-of-a-kind.
This uniqueness is reflected in his new line of cookwear, cutlery and kitchen tools & gadgets.
Guy Fieri Cookware & Kitchen Tools and Gadgets
I had the amazing opportunity to try out Guy’s cookware and kitchen tools from Walmart while creating my take on one of his recipes. The tools are designed with his signature edgy style and colorful flair and really are a fun addition to our kitchen.
The cutting board is my husband’s favorite because he is a big fan of all things pork! The locking tongs are my favorite because it’s hard to find smaller stainless tongs that don’t have silicone on the end. I always drop the food with the silicone ones! I also like the paring knife. It has a comfortable feel, the blade is just the right size and sharpness, and I can feel comfortable putting it in my drawer because of the cover.
But all of the tools are definitely a welcome addition in this house, when we cook we always have to wash things off in order to reuse them. Especially the kitchen shears. Guy’s shears are super affordable, come 2 to a package and separate for easy cleaning.
Guy’s 10-piece cookware set comes in red and black. I received the red and it looks awesome. Sturdy and durable and I love the feel of the rubberized handles. They are just the right feel and weight to life each pan and feel confident that you won’t burn yourself. The set boasts even heat distribution and a non-stick coating for easy cleaning.
Guy Fieri’s Cook-Off Sweepstakes
In order to help show how easy cooking can be with his new cookware and kitchen tools, Guy is holding a Cook-Off Sweepstakes where you can show off your culinary skills for a chance to win some of these items for your very own. Keep them for yourself and give them as a holiday gift for the cooking enthusiast on your shopping list.
Guy wants to see your take on his Penne with Cajun Hot Links and Chipotle Shrimp dish via Instagram. It’s easy to enter, simply share your version with the hashtag #GuyAtWM for a chance to win and fill out the form below the recipe!
I modified the recipe slightly and came up with my own seafood-free, slightly less spicy version – so my kids would eat it.
Penne With Cajun Hot Links & Chipotle Chicken inspired by Guy Fieri
I started by making a modified version of Guy’s Chipotle Sauce in the blender and set that aside while I cooked the chicken.
Then I added sweet apple chicken sausage and seared until browned.
As the sausage was searing, I boiled a 12 oz box of gluten-free penne pasta.
The chicken and sausage alone look good enough to eat, but there is more yummy flavor to add!
I mixed heavy cream, salt, pepper and chipotle sauce in with the sausage and chicken and then added the penne pasta.
It was now ready to serve!
I served it with a drizzle of chipotle sauce and grated parmesan.

Oh gosh that looks good! I mean really good, and uncomplicated which for me, is HUGE! I think I have everything on hand except for the pasta, but that’s easy enough to remedy. I just wish I hadn’t bought a brand new set of pots and pans because I’m pretty fond of Guy’s line of cookware!

I would make this recipe but with turkey or chicken instead of sausage. My husband would love this as he loves anything pasta. I have picky kids and by substituting the sausage they will definitely eat this.
