Choosing healthy foods is a challenge in itself, so it's nice when you can have your kitchen equipped with things that can help you make these healthy foods taste amazing.
The Blendtec Designer 725 is one such tool.
Blendtec claims to be the last blender you will ever own, and after using it I believe them!
Blendtec Designer 725 Features
The Blendtec 725 is the world's smartest blender, and here is why:
- Most advanced blending technology ever seen
- Engineered in the USA
- 3.8 peak horsepower motor
- Lighted, capacitive touch interface
- 6 preprogrammed cycles
- "Add 10" feature
- Capacitive touch slider with over 100 speeds
- Illuminated display that shows the remaining blend time
- SmartBlend technology for the perfect blend
- Blend Rewards
- 8 year warranty
The Blendtec 725 SmartBlend technology senses & identifies potential blending issues (such as loading errors, overheating, or air pockets) and tells you how to fix them, right on the screen. The 100-Speed Capacitive Touch Slider gives you complete precision control over your blending. It also tells you what speed to use depending upon what you are doing - stirring, chopping, mixing, blending, or pureeing. Multi-Speed Pulse gives you an extra burst of power when you need it.
Preprogrammed cycles take the guesswork out of blending with cycles for smoothies, salsa, ice cream, whole juice, soup and a clean cycle to make cleanup a breeze. The "Add 10" feature lets you add 10 seconds at a time to your blend cycle with a simple touch of a button, in case you need a little bit more time to get the perfect blend.
Blend Rewards make blending fun! With Blendtec's Blend Rewards you can actually get rewarded for using your blender. How cool is that? The machine tracks your blends and then at certain milestones gives you codes that you can redeem for recipe books, gift cards and more.
Blendtec Designer 725 Jars
The Blendtec Designer 725 comes with Blendtec's Wildside+ jar which is a BPA-free jar with vented Gripper™ lid. This jar works great for most blending uses but there is also an available Twister jar for blending extra thick recipes with ease. The Twister jar is also smaller and has both a Twister lid for thick blends and a Mini Gripper™ lid for regular blending.
The base of the Blendtec Designer 725 is sleek and modern. It's smaller than I expected and fits in perfectly with my stainless steel appliances. It's super easy to clean because it has a touch-screen instead of knobs.
How to use the Blendtec Designer 725
It is super easy to get started using the Blendtec Designer 725. Simply place the Wildside+ jar on the base and plug it in.
Place your ingredients inside the jar, and press the power button.
If it is your first time, the Blendtec 725 will take you through the menu and show you exactly what each button does.
It takes you step-by-step through each preprogrammed button, telling you exactly what to use each one for.
It took me a little while to get used to the touch screen interface and how to use the touch slider for different speeds, but once I got the hang of it I realized how brilliant it is. With a simple slide of my finger I easily changed the blending speed as needed for my recipe.
The Blendtec 725 really takes the guesswork out of achieving the perfect blend with your blender.
What you can make with the Blendtec Designer 725
With the Blendtec 725 the possibilities really are endless when it comes to what you can make. Anything that needs to be blended, mixed, chopped, pureeed or stirred as part of the prep can be done in the Blendtec 725.

I decided to make brownies. But not just any brownies. I decided to make gluten-free brownies filled with healthy ingredients. Just because you lead a healthy lifestyle doesn't mean you don't deserve some chocolate every once in a while.

These are good! They have more of a heavy cake-like texture than a fudge texture, but my kids certainly devoured them. I don't taste the almond butter so much as taste a muted chocolate flavor with a hint of sweetness. They taste real and won't leave you feeling like you need to brush your teeth afterwards.
Now that I have this recipe, I'd like to experiment by adding things like avocado or sweet potato to the recipe, making them even healthier!
