This workout challenge is designed to be done with a friend but you can also use it to compete with yourself. Use it to try and improve your previous day’s score.
In this modern world I often rely on my online life to fulfill my need to connect with other people. It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s convenient. I don’t have to worry about what I am wearing. I don’t have to leave my neighborhood or even my house. I can escape when I need to but still feel like I have these connections with real people.
And I do. I have plenty of great friends online, many of whom I would spend real life time with if they lived nearby. And thanks to numerous fitness apps and tools like Fitbit and other fitness trackers, even when I am working out I can feel connected and supported.
But sometimes I crave actual connection with people, and what better way to spend time with someone than to workout with them? It’s hard to fit everything into my busy day already, so this way I get to spend quality time with someone I care about while we both get in shape!
Friendly Competition Workout Challenge
A little friendly competition is fun and motivating.
The competition aspect of this workout challenge is fun, but also if you save your scores it would be neat to see how you improve over time. You can also complete this challenge with your online friends assuming you trust them to be honest about their scores.
I love that you can do this anytime, anywhere. You don’t need fancy equipment. You don’t need special clothing. You don’t need anything but yourself. Although you might want some fancy equipment and special clothing. I know it helps motivate me when I look good while I’m working out. Tek Gear Yoga tees from Kohl’s are some of my favorite workout tops. I love the inspiring messages and fun colors. Paired with some patterned capri leggings, I will absolutely look amazing while I sweat, I mean…glisten.
Kohl’s also has some great fitness finds to take your workouts with your friends to the next level. I’ve always wanted to try a tandem bike, it’s a great way to workout and practice teamwork at the same time.
Another great option for working out with friends is tennis. I know tennis doesn’t look like it is that strenuous but swinging a tennis racket is actually a really good workout. You are constantly moving across the court and getting a great cardio workout, plus it’s another fun way to experience some friendly competition!
If classes are more your style, you can sign up with a friend for yoga classes, martial arts classes, or even dance classes. Kohl’s has the gear and apparel you need to be comfortable and look good for just about any sport or activity you decide to do with your friends.
Whether you do something as simple as walk through the neighborhood or do something as adventurous as rock climbing, working out with a friend can really help you connect and motivate you to take your fitness to the next level. It can also help strengthen your friendship when you connect over a shared goal.
