This time of year we all have one thing on our minds.
Making it. Smelling it. Serving it. Eating it. It is everywhere and no one can deny the allure of the scents and the flavors the holidays bring.
Which makes this a perfect time to take a closer look at exactly what you are eating. Both from an over-eating standpoint and from a source standpoint. Is the food you are eating not just good for you but safe for you and your family?
The 10 documentaries below are available on Netflix and take a look at our food supply and our health from a different perspective. Some may be extreme suggesting a plant based diet or juicing as the solution to all of our health problems, but don’t let that turn you away from watching them. You will learn a lot watching every one of these, with the core message often being that where your food comes from matters. They will also provide you with a clear idea of why fresh fruits and vegetables are so important to the human body and why factory farming is a huge contributor to the poor health in this country.
You don’t have to give up meat or solid food. You don’t have to stop eating the things you love. But when you have an understanding of our food supply and the things that have corrupted it, you might find yourself paying a little bit more attention to exactly what is in the food you are eating.
Be thankful for the food on your table, but as you do that, also consider where it comes from.
