Snacks are important.
“Can I have a snack?” is one of the the most common questions we get asked. After school. After breakfast. After lunch. Before dinner. Before bed. In the middle of the night. It never seems to stop.
Can I have a snack?
The key for me is finding a way to fuel their growing bodies in a way that makes them feel like they are getting a delicious treat but that also offers some nutritional benefits that they aren’t even aware of. Which is why yogurt is one of my go-to snacks for my kids and myself.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, mostly because of one thing – PUMPKIN. I like pumpkin coffee, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin everything. Even pumpkin yogurt!
So I headed out to Walmart to pick up some Yoplait 100 Greek Yogurt to try and add a spin to pumpkin yogurt and make a pumpkin pudding. No baking required!
For this recipe you can use vanilla or honey Yoplait Greek 100, or you can use plain and sweeten it yourself.
- 15 ounces can pumpkin puree
- 5 7/24 ounces plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Add all of the ingredients to a medium sized bowl and stir until completely blended. Chill for 2-3 hours and serve.
Like pumpkin pie in a bowl!
