This is a sponsored post for Pure Growth Organic. All opinions and poor attempts at humor are my own.
Before my kids even greet me as they come in the door after school, they ask “can I have a snack?” There could be a clown, a bounce house and a pile of cute puppies in the kitchen, and they would still be looking for that snack before all else. Going to school is hard work, and they need fuel in order to be able to tackle their homework.
I get it.
I have that relationship with my coffee in the morning.
If I let them choose, they’d choose candy with a side of soda. Every. Time. Now, I don’t actually have candy or soda in the house, but it just illustrates a point for me. Kids want colorful snacks that taste great. They don’t care what’s in it. They don’t care if it’s not good for them. They want it to look and taste good. End scene.
Arguing with my kids about choosing a snack that is better for them is just not one of my favorite pastimes. I don’t want to hear how “so-and-so’s mom lets her have such-and-such.” I don’t want to hear how “all the other kids” get to enjoy the good stuff. My absolute least favorite argument is “you let me have it that one time.” Ugh. Give them an inch….seriously!
It’s also a constant struggle to find snacks that we can all agree on. If I find one that my son enjoys that I can feel good about serving them, my daughter will say that she doesn’t like it. And vice-versa. I really think that they scheme together to make sure there is never, ever, peace in my life.
So, I am always on the lookout for snacks that I can serve them that will keep them from nagging (at least about my choice of snacks – baby steps), that they can both agree on and that still make me feel good about what I am serving them. And it would help if it didn’t cause me to have to take on a second job in order to afford it.

Pure Growth Organic was founded by a mom who noticed a severe lack of organic snack options for kids between ages 2-12. She noticed that most organic snacks were either geared towards babies or were not appealing to children. Plus, they made a huge dent in the grocery budget. So she set out to provide organic snacks that would appeal to kids and be affordable for everyone.
Pure Growth Organic products are made in the USA and include a complete line of convenient snacks including biscuits, animal crackers, popcorn, pretzels, oatmeal, chips, snack mix and breakfast bars. All of their products are kosher and have nothing artificial in them. They don’t have preservatives or MSG and they have some gluten-free options as well.
And moms, you don’t have to be ashamed to share with your kids – or just enjoy them by yourself. I call it “taste testing” but co-snacking is another term for it. I have my kids convinced that as a mom, it’s my job to sample everything they eat to make sure it tastes good.
Pure Growth Organic sent me a sampling of their products and I left them on the counter for when my daughter came home. She saw them and immediately claimed the “Pets” and the “Minions” snacks. I kind of laughed because she didn’t even read what it was, and while she wouldn’t have eaten it if it turned out to be broccoli biscuits, the fact that she chose based solely on the character on the package was so telling. This is one of the struggles of grocery shopping with kids. They are drawn to their favorite characters on the packaging and until now, all of the fun characters were on conventional products. Well, not anymore!
After checking to make sure the snack was not, in fact, broccoli flavored, my daughter decided to dig in.
And then proceeded to claim additional packages as her own. She even liked them so much, she wanted to try the banana flavored snacks and she doesn’t even like bananas.
Pure Growth Organic Minions Breakfast Biscuit Bites, Apple Cinnamon, 6 OunceIn addition to all of the things that organic products don’t have like high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, artificial colors, or preservatives, Pure Growth Organic snacks don’t seem to be overloaded with sugar either, which is something I look out for when choosing a snack for my kids. I was also very happy to see some fiber and protein on the nutrition label as well.
Being a parent involves being in a constant state of trying to find the balance between your sanity, their wants and what you know is good for them. Pure Growth Organic really seems to be a great option for helping you achieve that balance, at least when it comes to healthier snack options. And they are great for on-the-go as well!
Pure Growth Organic products are available nationwide right now at Walmart and Amazon and will be available soon at other mass retailers as well. Keep an eye out for them when you are at Walmart, I’d love to hear your feedback (as I’m sure the company would as well) about the price and how your kids enjoy the products.
