Oh, it’s that time of year again.
You are constantly faced with decisions about what to eat and what not to eat. Like no other time of year, the temptations are everywhere, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t allow yourself some treats.
But at what expense?
The reason New Year’s resolutions were invented was probably that people gain so much weight this time of year.
So how do you combat it and allow yourself enjoy some of the delicious flavors of the season? Without having an extra 10lbs to resolve to lose in January?
That answer is easy.
Simply burn off more calories than you take in.
It’s a straightforward equation we can all understand, but putting it into action is a whole other story.
No one whats to start a fitness program during the holidays, even one as easy to follow as the 21 Day Fix, but none of us wants to gain weight either. This fun little fitness printable helps you earn your treats with an easy to follow routine.
Eat the goodies, do the exercise. It’s that simple. Actually, if you can, do the exercise, then eat the goodies.
To help you step up to the challenge and reduce the effects of peppermint candy and pumpkin pie on your waistline, I came up with my own “Christmas
cookie exercise exchange” where for every treat you eat, you will complete a specific exercise. Eat two of the same thing – that’s two sets of the listed exercise. You can do the exercise immediately, or keep track during the day and do all the exercises you “owe” at the end of the day.
