In July of 2010 I had the bright idea to try the 7-day cabbage soup diet to jump-start a little bit of a plateau I had developed in my weight loss plan. I was skeptical but I stuck to it and lost almost 8 lbs, putting me at 159.2 lbs. I had kept those 8 lbs off until the last 2 weeks. I swear I must have eaten about 4 bags of Hershey Candy Cane Kisses. And I gained a couple of lbs.
So I wanted to make sure that I started 2011 off right and kick-start the last stage of my weight loss goals – the last 15 lbs.
Yesterday was day 1, and this was the menu:
Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.
I followed it almost to the letter. I did have a cup of black coffee with Truvia in it because without the coffee I get headaches.
I lost 4 lbs yesterday.
I started yesterday at 161.6 lbs
Today I am 157.6 lbs.
The menu today includes a baked potato for dinner. I am LIVING and BREATHING for that potato!
