I started the 21 Day Fix EXTREME program today and it was interesting to try and learn the colored container system. I think I have the hang of it for the most part, but I didn’t eat all of my allotted food. I only managed 5 meals and was quite a few servings short. The containers look small but they are totally misleading, they pack a lot of food into them!
Overall the types of food I eat didn’t change since I follow a Paleo-ish diet but the quantities of each type did. I usually end up eating more protein and fewer veggies and fruit, so this actually is a great way for me to adjust to make sure I am getting the right nutrition.
Below was my 21 Day Fix EXTREME Day 1 menu:
- Blueberries (1 purple)
- 2 eggs (1 red)
- Cucumbers (1 green)
- Tomatoes (1 green)
- Hummus (1 blue)
- Olive oil (1 tsp)
- Kale (1 green)
- Chicken (1 red)
- Rice (2 yellow)
- Green beans (1 green)
Hopefully tomorrow I will eat more earlier in the day so I don’t end up shorting myself and not eating enough, although I wasn’t hungry.
- Allowed 4 green, ate 4 green.
- Allowed 3 purple, ate 1 purple.
- Allowed 4 red, ate 2 red.
- Allowed 3 yellow, ate 2 yellow.
- Allowed 1 blue, ate 1 blue.
- Allowed 1 orange, ate 0 orange.
- Allowed 4 tsp, ate 2 tsp.
The workout for today was Plyo Fix Extreme. It was a great workout! I couldn’t keep up which is great because it means there is room for improvement. I’d hate for it to be too easy.
